Institutional Partner Office Support Staff, Illinois Tutoring Initiative

Primary Function:
The College of Education at Northern Illinois University seeks a detailed oriented and collaborative individual to provide administrative support for the Institutional Partner Office of the Illinois Tutoring Initiative. This position represents an excellent opportunity for a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills to work in a rewarding environment that is focused on making a positive impact on students in the region. The position has the option for hybrid remote work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Institutional Partner Office Coordinator of the Illinois State-Wide Tutoring Initiative, this grant-funded position provides essential administrative support for districts involved with the institution. This position will assist with the oversight of tutor supervision and coordinate the hiring, payment and partner coordination of tutors. Materials and records management will be a key aspect of this position.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree.


Education and Experience Preferred:
  • Previous experience working on large-scale projects and/or grant-funded projects.
  • K-12 teaching and/or administrative experience.
  • Advanced computer/database skills and/or graphic design skills.


Working Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Mon-Fri

The Civil Service examination for this classification is a Credentials Assessment, and is based on your application materials as submitted for this posting.
