Institutional Partner Office Coordinator, Illinois Tutoring Initiative

Primary Function:
The College of Education at Northern Illinois University seeks a collaborative and dedicated leader to join our team and serve as the Institutional Partner Office Coordinator to the Illinois Tutoring Initiative. This position will coordinator high-impact tutoring services for their region of the state (covering 1/6 of the state geographically). The position provides the opportunity for leadership growth and includes the option for hybrid remote work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Coordinator will provide direction, leadership, and system development for tutoring across up to 15 district partners over a 2-year period. The state-wide tutoring initiative will provide tutoring services for over 8,500 k-12 students across the state. Each region is expected to scale up partnerships and services over the 2 years to result in 15 district partners and up to nearly 1200 tutors. This individual will work as a collaborative team member with various offices in the College, across the University, and with the Coordinators of the other regions in the tutoring initiative.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree
  • At minimum of 3 years of P-12 teaching or administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision of staff or project management.
  • Current or previous teacher licensure.


Education and Experience Preferred:
  • Terminal Degree (e.g., EdD, PhD)
  • Previous experience working on large-scale projects and/or grant-funded projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.


Working Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
